A Little About Myself
Hello everybody, my name is Sheila Bailey and I will tell you a little about myself sprinkled throughout my blog. A simple everyday wife, mother, grandmother, daughter just like you. I face the same daily struggles, as many of you. Things that overwhelm us, and bring uncertainty. The Joy Felt Journey blog gives us ways to look at handling the raging storms we go through. As women, we juggle many roles as we navigate life.
We encounter all sorts of challenges, life happens and we are caught in the middle of it. Swirling and twirling a dozen different ways all day long. Wondering what to do next, trying to make sense of it all. We feel like we are losing ground day after day. The husband wants to know when is dinner, the babies are crying, or the kids need to get to practice. Maybe your children are grown, and experiencing difficulties or you have aging parents with needs that are pulling at you. As we all know we feel like we have to be superwoman all our life. You just want it all to slow down! To be able to catch your breath and know what to do next.
Looking At Things Differently
My post on the Four Doors of Life Rule is a way to look at things differently than you have in the past. It gives you a place to begin in trying to reign in the many different aspects of life. The Four Doors of Life Rule is one that I use to keep things in perspective on a daily basis. It gives me insight into the Spiritual, Emotional, Physical and Financial doors of my life. These are doors we all have to walk through every day, I have found this rule to bring calm to my core being. You deserve to find some peace and understanding for your life.
I know your thinking I really don’t have a lot of time for self-examination in my life between the thousands of task I have to do every day. Are you tired and burnt out? Feel like your spinning your wheels, believe me, I have been there more than once. At some point, we all have to ask ourselves how much longer can I do this? Now let me ask you, are you experiencing a well being in your spiritual, emotional, physical and financial walks of life?
What Can We Do
With self-examination, desire and much reflection on truly what is important, you too can have more peace amid all the chaos we experience. I learned by getting up an extra 30 minutes in the morning I can take some time for me, to reflect, examine and pray. It’s time for you to start your day with more contentment and hold on to the core of what lies behind these Four Doors. By doing so, not only you, but your whole family will benefit from you being in a better place. This will give you a more Joy Felt Journey through this life.
I don’t claim to have all the answers, but as a wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and jack of all trades, I have lived a little. I constantly am spending much time in prayer, God’s word, and self-examination behind these four doors. This is how I stay sane ladies, don’t get me wrong, there are days when I don’t get to apply all of this to my life as well. You know what, that’s ok, we are all human and life gets out of control somedays. Just make sure you stay grounded in what the Lord would have you do, the Four Doors of Life Rule, and take time for yourself, there is only one of you.
